An introduction to Kisii Junipers (Charity No. 1181182)

Children are meant to be happy and to enjoy their childhood as they develop. However, due to poverty they are vulnerable and face a lot of threats to their health and wellbeing.  Consequently, they need support, protection and guidance.

Not all children in Kisii County have the opportunity to thrive due to  the difficult circumstances they find themselves in. The majority of the children in the villages have the ability to grow and develop  in pretty tough conditions if they have some help.

Kisii Junipers Purse of Hope was formed with such children in mind. Orphaned children or those from poorest households do not get a chance to join allocated secondary schools due to a lack of both tuition and boarding fees.

The objective of the charity is to promote the education (including social and physical training) of all children, from all backgrounds within Kisii County, Kenya.

Each child is given the opportunity to study and develop up to the highest possible level within institutions of higher learning. This could also involve funding to maintain and support the child or young person in their homes or educational establishments.

Our Mission

Our main mission is to identify vulnerable children, fund and support them throughout their educational journey. We hope to give the identified children a better future and empower them to lead transformed lives.

The charity also supports the relief of sickness and preservation of good health through the payment of hospital fees, in circumstances where ill health in a family is detrimental to the children and young people’s education.
